Article: UNE PETITE RUE (Little Street)

UNE PETITE RUE (Little Street)

Bonjour, this is Lune.
With the renewal of the website, we will be promoting CARNET de L'UNE (Carnet de L'UNE = Lune's notebook).
From now on, I will write about the stories behind Lune's craftsmanship. (Please forgive any messy writing.)
Please visit our website when you have time. Why not go on a journey with Lune?

The first story is about a small street.

There are many streets in the city, and I imagine that each one has its own story and story. And everyone has a few favorite streets, right? This time, I'd like to talk about a street that is special to Lune.

Rue Abriot in the Marais district of Paris.
This is the same spot where Helmut Newton photographed Saint Laurent's 'Le Smoking' in 1975. Yes, that famous photograph.
(This photo had a big influence on the launch of Lune. As a fashion photo, it has a timeless beauty, a sense of atmosphere, and the beauty of the tailoring of the clothes. The line of the shoulders and the sleeves make me shiver every time I look at it.)

Every time I walk down this street, I think back to the birth of the sensational 'Le Smoking' and the image of the woman that Yves Saint Laurent has created.
It's like traveling to another dimension. For me, it's a magical street.

For example, that night we had dinner in the Marais district.
For example, if it had rained that night,
It might be nice to walk down this street with the streetlights dimly illuminating the wet ground.

A photographer friend of mine told me about it, and I went there with a pounding heart.

Next time we will talk about Lune pleats.

P.S.:
Unfortunately, there are limits to how far we can travel this year. We'll have to give up on going abroad. But that's okay. We have the treasure of our imagination.
This year, let's go on a journey of imagination with extraordinarily large wings.
