Article: Parfum et Voyage (Scent and Travel)

Parfum et Voyage (Scent and Travel)

Hello, I'm Lune.

This time we will talk about the production of Lune fragrances, which began in the fall of 2020.

In these times when freedom is restricted, what if we could create a scent that frees the senses and takes us on a journey?
This project began with this idea in mind.

It's like it opens a door, gives me big wings, travels deep within my body, transcending time and space, and reaches me on the wind.
And if you could ride that wind and go on a journey...

Then I consulted my friend M-chan, an essential oil therapist.
I'm not very knowledgeable about scents and aromas, so it's difficult for me to describe it, so I can only say it's like ** (lol)

We received several different formulations for this abstract request, and the aroma mist was created.
M-chan not only blends the scent itself, but also brings out the power of each essential oil.

After that, we move on to making mist and perfume.
We spend our days trying out different concentrations and adjusting the ingredients.
The scent can change with just a few small things, such as the amount of water, whether or not alcohol is used, and the blend of essential oils.
We had many meetings about textures.
The aromatic perfume 'JARDIN de L'UNE' is now available.

Next comes the fragrance envelope.
Bottle, label, packaging.

The bottle is glass with a cedar cap and the label is handwritten by me.
And the package.
Fabric? Paper?
What kind of clothes would go well with this fragrance? (Because of my job, I can immediately think of clothes.)

One weekend I went to the Noto Peninsula.
The morning market was lined with incense boxes from off the coast of Noto, the mountains were covered in beautiful autumn leaves, and winter was about to arrive in the rural mountains.
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, gazing at the sea and mountains and just relaxing, and on the last day I found out that a workshop was being held at a combed washi paper studio in the countryside, so I was excited to visit the studio.

Noto Nikko Washi has been in business for three generations.
In the atelier, beautiful combed washi paper is carefully made one sheet at a time, and we were shown a variety of works, including cedar bark washi paper, wild paper, and paper with soil.
As an etranger, I was just passing by, but I was completely captivated by the beautiful washi paper, which I had never seen before.

This is how the Lune fragrance was born.
It will be delivered wrapped in Japanese cedar bark paper.

I hope that this fragrance will take you on a journey of imagination.
