Elegance and liberté (elegance and freedom)
Hello, I'm Lune.
Today we'll be talking about Juliette Greco.
The other day, I was talking to a friend about Juliette Greco.
She is said to be the embodiment of 'Elégance et liberté' (elegance and freedom), and she was truly a wonderful woman, my friend said, playing a piece by Greco.
When I heard these two words, 'Elégance et liberté', I was overcome with a feeling similar to that of catching a petal fluttering down from the sky, or of finding something I had been searching for all my life.

Many artists were influenced by her. She was the muse of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and Greco's style would later be called the Saint-Germain style.
Juliette Greco is a world-famous chanson singer.
Avant-garde lyrics, vocal talent, and presence. As I researched her biography, I learned that she was a strong woman whose turbulent life was filled with love (elegance) and courage (freedom), and I was drawn into her world.

LA JAVANAISE, which Gainsbourg is said to have given to her, is a truly beautiful song.
Elegance and freedom come from within.
These can change into any shape. They can be shared and nurtured, deeper and broader, and can never be taken away by anyone. They are irreplaceable. I feel this very strongly through Greco.
Her life is resilient, strong, and beautiful, and she is an inspiration. She is a muse.
Mercy Juliette
